Update from Ghat

We are still living in Ghat and making the daily trek up the steep trail to the monastery everyday. We have made friends with the monks and they are including us in their many activities.  It has been raining heavily everyday since my last post and it has limited the power and cell coverage available.  I made a website for the monks and updated it in Lukla.  The hike to Lukla is getting easier.  We are getting used to the altitude now.

I created a website for the monastery.  It is www.pemacholing-monastery.com. There are pictures and a history of the monastery, as given to us by the monk, Jangbu.  We will be uploading a video soon to replace the place holding clip that is there now.  We will also be updating the map to show the accurate location of the monastery and Phakding as well.

You 2 are doing great work. I’m proud of Y’all.
The pictures on the site are excellent.

I did occur to me that you guys could have flown in, handed them a copy of Rosetta Stone + a case of Jose Cuervo’s finest and been on your way to EBC. [that was a joke Granmare]

PS: I’ve always wanted a prayer wheel. is there away to ship me one? BTW there are prayer wheel APPS.

    Carry on ❤

All the guys with their clever remarks.
We just sit here awestruck to think of where you are and what you are doing.
It must be like having a dream and wondering where you will be when you wake up.

Granmare…we’re you thinking about “Dreambird”? Inside knitting joke…techies will not understand.

Dreambird – Pinot Noir 2011 is an exciting wine with a fruity splash of blackcherry, raspberry and cinnamon. It is backed by smooth tannins and a rich finish. Sale Price: $4.97

    Just saying….
